Another major cause of insomnia is hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar. It is very underdiagnosed and causes a lot of major problems. If you want to really understand it, read Hypoglycemia: The Disease Your Doctor Won't Treat by Jerauldine Saunders and Harvey M. Ross. Other symptoms include anxiety, depression, fatigue, mood swings, anger spells, feeling sickly, low sex drive, blurry vision, seeing spots/snow, convulsions, heart palpitations, and drug (including alcohol) addiction. If diabetes runs in your family, you are more likely to have it. It is worth looking into.

I am not sure about the medical marijuana laws where you live, but I know that stuff can be major knock out medicine. Talk to a doctor first, of course. Then again, if you have hypoglycemia, you don't want to be smoking marijuana too often.

Yeah i have tried the things you suggested, I am a diabetic, insulin dependant, I was diagnosed with it when i was thirteen and my doctor was convinced that once i had it under control my sleep would return but no such luck. Marijuana isnt legal here but thats not to say i dont use it lol. It does work for me to a point, it makes me fall asleep quicker but its never been falling asleep thats my problem, its staying asleep past thirty minutes, and i dont want to make a habit of smoking it really. You raised a good point with the hypoglycemia was an educated response, appreciate it but i`ve been tested for countless illnesses, had physcological analaysis, brain scans, tried different diets such as no wheat, no sugar, no fat, no dairy, no caffeine and non have worked.
Ive learnt to adapt my life around it quite well. Like i said ive had it as long as i can remember but I am always looking for a solution, Thanks a lot for your advice, It could have been just what i was looking for x

Okay, one more idea, and then I will be out of them for now probably. Do you know if you have a serotonin deficiency? The one major spell of severe insomnia I had, which happened to involve not being able to sleep longer than thirty minutes at a time, happened when my brain was low on serotonin. I got on Prozac, which boosted my serotonin, and I was able to sleep well again. If that's not it, then...

I was never diagnosed as having a deficiancy of it, i tried some natural melatonin pills for a while and they did help a little bit, dunno if thats the same as serotonin i will go to the drug store today and try and find some (gotta be worth a shot huh) Thanks will let you know how i got on x

Good! There is hope. Serotonin is not melatonin. But you have to be prescribed an SSRI, at least in the U.S. A talk with a psychiatrist or other doctor about serotonin might get you on the right track.

Tone is often ambivalent and subjective; If you judge someone's character by tone then you are shallow to say the least.

I don't want you to like me, I want to know why you don't like me.

Based on the latter I can say that, I am better than you and I am sure you know why. It feels so fulfilling when you can confidently and definitively say that about another human being, honestly. (You will probably say this is arrogant, in which case you will percieve me as a "Bitch". Although, you may believe that I am joking in which case you would suggest that I should time it better)

Please note the underlined adjectives, which are synonomous with "exaggerated". I deduce from this that the word arrogance is relevant to those who express pride and assert superiority over others when there is a suggestion of untruth about this assertion. In consitency with this deduction, and in light of the fact that I am conversing with you, the word Arrogance does not appear to be entirely correct; there is no quarrel with the truth.

(Now thats arrogance, for demonstrative purposes, just incase you were unsure; this is senseless banter; PS has left the building.)

I thought of replying with something, but you really asked me nothing. I agree with you in almost everything. Whatever if you're better than me, this is not what I'm discussing, nor do I care.

It's usually very hard to see the tone of our own messages. But, as you so-brilliantly said previously, feedback is always useful. You sound arrogant (no, I don't mean only in that last post of yours, where you were purposedly trying to be arrogant). You might even be smart enough to make up for that arrogance, but that's not what it seems. People will treat you as an arrogant person.

Even the best of actors has to put a bit of his own personality in his acting. I'm not saying that just because you could act arrogant you are - that'd be reductive. I'm saying you can deduce a lot from a person's character even when they're acting.

Kromoh, psychology student does not act arrogant and does not start crap that gets severely personal, but you have developed a terrible habit of doing both.

Stop insulting people personally unless they do it to you first, mainly. You have developed a very strong will to make people feel small on a personal level. You have become much more focussed on telling people how bad they suck than you have on discussing other issues. It seems like it has become your number one mission in using the internet. No, I don't want you to cross the line. I want you to be a good guy like you used to be. I should have thrown in a "or somebody else" when I talked about initiation. You acted the same way with me a lot recently. I was of course basing my comment about your internet activity on what I have seen when I said "it seems" like you are all about insults on the internet now. I am saying this because you used to be one of my favorite members and now all I see you doing is polluting threads.

Unfortunately, if I've changed, it's been for the better. What happens is that UM has been saying I changed ever since we fought. I say it's a weak argument rather than a sincere opinion. Meh.

I don't think that UM's is a weak argument. He is judging you just as sincerely if not more so than the fact that you are judging me.
