lol, u know this one is actually the most likely to actually happen?
i can't remember the actual statistics but there is a giant meteor with the potential to either obliterate earth or seriously mess it up in like twenty years or something.it is in orbit of the sun and each year it gets closer so i figure it will either hit us or the sun.astronomers have graphed its course and it will get pretty close if it doesn't hit us.

You mean 20 years as in 2028 or as in "in a period of 20 years from impact"? If you mean the first, then you are wrong. Don't you think it would have been more widely heard of if possible destruction of all life was 20 years away? There's a asteroid that might hit us in 2880 large enough to screw things up. But the chance is at the most 1 in 300.

I'm still going towards a trans/posthumanist event. But whether that is an "end" to "humanity" is debatable. I think that, otherwise, the best bets are meteor strike, ice age, nuclear war or some nanobiological pandemic. I don't think we'll survive to the point at which the sun will engulf the Earth, if we do, than that will be it.

That is called Apothis or something like that. I thought it was 2038 that it would impact if it made it in our orbit in 203x (x is 1-5). The probability of that is like 1 in 1,000,000 though.
