It is useless to our survival that we have pain receptors inside of us own digestive systems. All it does is give you pain that you can do fuck all about. It would hinder an organism to be in the agony of either excessive wind or a foreign body in the intestines. In fact, reflexes are all we need in this situation because there is no evolutionary advantage to consciously taking care of the problem. Even if we can do it now with medical science, the transitionary stages would have been useless to an organism. The fact that we feel pain does not disprove evolution. If anything it proves it. Pain teaches us what to do and what not to do, and ultimately to survive. Unless you are nuttier than Chinese chicken salad, you're going to avoid things that cause you pain, thus you will probably survive longer. At least the creationists on the messageboard are trying come up with something using their own judgement. All the evolutionists on here just throw down a bunch of copy pasta from other websites. I highly doubt most of this comes from personal knowledge acquired through research and experimentation, more likely just that strange yet tangible wanting to prove that guy from the Internet wrong. Abiogenesis is not proven. It's only suspected as the most likely explanation for the first life and ultimately our creation (Miller/Urey exp, 1952, etc). I'm a biologist and I'm moving toward exobiology over the next few years, and what I study involves these kinds of concepts. I find it all very fascinating, especially given the notion that we're likely made of star matter. That being said - As long as nothing is proven by better science, what is wrong with asking questions? Why do you have to belittle everyone who disagrees, no matter how "obvious" the so-called truth is? I believe it is great for there to be this kind of diversity. The question is Where Did We Come From, and the answer now is We don't know, and that is why it is such an interesting topic. You guys spend too much time being concluded over something you can't possibly hope to understand from an hour of web searching to overrule the ideals of those nasty people who have faith in something other than themselves.
