      LOST

So is anyone else here a LOST fan?? I'm going crazy waiting for new episodes. I feel like my pre-LOST life was missing something badly. I know it's strange, but I really just love that show. So, anyone else? And list your favorite character.

-- I like Sayid. Did you know he's Australian?? I heard him talk without his Iraqi accent, and it blew my mind!

-- I have run into Jin in a dream.

      Re: LOST

I'm a huge Lost fan...I hadn't seen it until a couple weeks ago but a friend got me into it. So I downloaded all the episodes and started from Episode 1....

The first night I didn't sleep...I watched 18 episodes straight (about 14hr worth). It took me about 3 days to get caught up. The most recent one was the first one I've seen on TV. (WTF is up with Michael?!?!)

Anyways, my favorite character is either Claire (accents kill me) or Hurley.

I have Lost dreams all the time now....probably because I overloaded my brain with it. Only with a few characters though...Kate, Jack, Sayid...

Yeah, Lost is pretty cool... but I think it's Lost its mojo now. Whenever it answers one question, it raises ten more! And whats more, I bet the shocking conclusion will be a bit of an anticlimax.

      Nice scenery

I'd like to have dream with Kate in it

The most recent episode was a big surprise.

I don't know if the writers really have a good unified story behind the scenes. Seems more like they throw a lot of different elements into the mix (kind of reminds me of X-files and Twin Peaks).

Still its well acted and fun to watch.

Last night I had a dream with Kate in it. There was a large group of people playing kickball on a field, and Kate threw the ball down a hill. I told her I would go get it. And she followed me, and we started kissing. That was about it as far as she was concerned. But boy was it fun!

Don't read the following if you recorded last week's show and haven't watched it yet!

Michael went off on his own to rescue his son Walt from the Others.

An Other named Henry Gale was captured. It took some time to find out for sure if he was an other.

An episode that played with whether all of the events are happening in the mind of Hurley while he is still in a mental asylum. His romance with Libby progresses slowly.

Jack and Kate went to ask the Others to trade Henry for Walt. Instead Michael came out of the jungle looking exhausted.

They bring Michael back to the hatch. He tells them the Others have a hatch. There's only 20 or so of them, and they should attack.

Anna Lucia is left with Henry and Micheal. She plans to kill Henry. But conscience won't let her (also she knew Jack's Dad and went to Australia as his body guard, but decided to go home and make peace with her mother).

Michael gets up. Anna gives him the gun asks him to shoot Henry.
Michael shoots Anna through the heart
Libby walks in and Michael shoots her twice in the abdomen
Michael opens door to where Henry is, then it appears Michaels shoots himself in the shoulder.

Lost is one of my favorite shows, but I've missed so much of it that I stopped keeping up.
I'm just going to end up ordering, or renting, the box set.

And yes...Kate is quite the fox.

yeah im definitly ''lost'' in it.

WTF is up with michael??!!! it looks like he set gale free but had to cover for it by shooting the girls and himself. i guess he thinks hes gonna utilize locke's tracking talent in order to chase him down and thus find where his boy is. a last gasp of desperation. cant wait to see what happens next... only 3 more hrs to go. and then invasion after that! i LUV wednesdays. yay.

      WHO SAW THE FINALE???

i am drooling in anticipation of next season.
what's up with the statue foot? and that bird? freaky.

remember when the clock in the hatch timed down to 0 and the heiroglyphics appeared? did any one else notice that just when the rumbling started, the initial sound it made was like the sound that the so-called monster makes? i wonder if the monster and the electromagnetic anomaly are connected.

man, i cant wait till next season.........

The second series started a few weeks ago in the UK, and I've missed most of them so far. The last one I saw was were Loche n' Jack are bitching at each other about pressing buttons in the hatch, then a scottish dude runs away.
It seems to get more random every episode. Soon a shark comes along with a tattoo if i'm not mistaken

aw man, i forgot about the shark.

the tattoo was the dharma logo. (surprise, surprise)

list of questions that still need to be answered:

      WTF is up with....
      the monster?
the shark with a dharma logo?
the bird who called hurley's name?
      the 4-toed statue foot?
      the dharma initiative in general?
      the polar bear?

      what am i missing?

      My guesses in order

The monster is part of the defence system which Jack damaged with the dynamite.

The shark is part of the flame bunker which has annotations of being water related.
(On a side note if the hatch has been destroyed and desmond killed then the chances of finding this flame bunker are slim to none)

Hurley thinks that everything on the island is about him, maybe he has magical powers, however since he was dismissed by the others this may not be the case.

Have we actually seen how many toes the others have accurately? Maybe they have 4 toes or maybe it's from a species who still had 4 toes who evolved since to humans.

The dharma initiative seems to be a research project designed to research the positive energies of the field in the island that heals Lockes leg, makes Claires baby start kicking again, and heals Rose I think it is. It's also plays a job in 'animal reclimatisation' as described in the orientation video of the swan.

And the bear is a product of the reclimation experiements, possibly originating from an undiscovered bunker. Also polar bears featured in Hurley and Walt's comic. Possibly Walt's imagination could have conjured it up.

wow, youre very observant. yeah, i forgot about clarie's baby kicking again, youre reffering to when they 1st got on the island right?

as far as the bird, im thinking it may be one of hurley's delusions like his little friend. he seem to be a bit ego-centric, since he thinks he causes all the bad luck that happens around him-though it is pretty uncanny. but he also thinks the whole island is a product of his own mind.

my problem is that its sometimes hard for me to keep up with this stuff, not only because theres so much of it, but because they often go a couple weeks before showing a new episode. instead of just showing the whole season straight thru, but it is a good idea when you think about it, cuz it drags out the suspenseful wait to see what happens next, and delays the finale, while allowing people who may have missed a recent epp to catch up without waiting till long after the finale. i especially tend to lose track of whats going on during december when they spend 5 or 6 weeks showing reruns cuz i guess they figure that during the holiday season, people are with family, or traveling and are likely to miss epps.

but you really know your stuff! but...uh... can you remind me what defence system jack damaged with the dynamite? i remember Rousseau said the monster was part of a security system, thats all i know. and i dont recall anything about a flame bunker.

yeah, im still wondering what Walt's gift is. and i hope that even though Libby's dead we'll find out why she was in the hospital-maybe Hurley will finally remember her. this show really keeps you wanting. brilliant!!

The long distance between episodes does really help to build tension, plus it makes you take each episode a bit more seriously than if they were spaced closer together I think

The defence system was ruined when they were on the way back to blow the hatch, they took 6 sticks, 1 was used on the defence system when it tryed to 'swallow' locke, another 2 on the hatch door and finally 2 more on the blast door inside the hatch.

I don't see anything really wrong with Libby though, she reminds me of my old art teacher.
