      ZERO sleep, big day.

Hey guys, new to the boards, but I stumbled upon this site in my state of insomnia.

Basically I have a big day snowboarding and seeing old friends and hanging out tomorrow/today but I could not get a wink of sleep last night. Just looked at the clock as it continued to tick down the time to when i had to wake up... which is basically now.

I've done this before and it usually happens the night before traveling or big events and now I'm a little worried that I won't be at top form and may injure myself on the slopes. I hope some coffee and taking it easy will prevent this.

Luckily, I know the reason for this, my sleep schedule has been out of wack the last few days, waking up very late in the day and going to sleep very late at night so I know exactly why I couldn't fall asleep easier last night. Well I'm rambling and I know its from no sleep so, wish me luck!

Good luck. If you get there and feel like you're really having trouble and could get hurt, be honest with yourself and stop, don't risk getting badly injured.

This also happens to me the nights before traveling. It's happened so much to me that I now associate the state of mind of being tired but loaded with caffeine, with traveling. It's bad because I have trouble sleeping on trains or planes. I wish it didn't happen, as those are the days I should be getting if anything more sleep than usual. Why do trains and planes have to leave so early?

Well I survived, quite fatigued but with a little help from an energy drink, I didn't fall asleep at the wheel at all. Thanks for the support!
