      Dreaming for self-help

      A large part of what got me interested in dreaming, and lucid dreaming in particular, is the idea that I could use it to modify my beliefs and behaviors to those I found suitable. Does anybody have any nice body of research or studies on this?

      I suggest "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming", by Stephen Laberge. There are chapters devoted to dreaming for healing and problem solving.

      Cognitive Behavioural Therapy has some good techniques for examining and changing personal beliefs. Nothing to do with lucid dreaming, but no point in viewing lucid dreams as a panacea when there are better options elsewhere.
