      Melatonin affects your ability to dream?

      Ever since I've been taking melatonin supplements, I haven't been remembering my dreams. Or maybe I'm not dreaming? Does melatonin affect your ability to dream?

      I would really like to see this answered, if it affected dreams negatively i will probably stop taking it.

      3 mg melatonin knocks me out to the point, where I most likely will not be able to remember any dreams at all. Often I will sleep through my WBTB-alarm too (actually, I'll wake up enough to turn off the alarm, but then fall immediately back into deep sleep). I have not tried with lesser doses, but I aim to do so in the not-too-distant future.

      On the other hand, it gives me the most wonderfully restoring sleep, and I wake up in the morning feeling really well rested.
      So ... is this the real universe, or is it just a preliminary study?
