Spinning/dizzy feeling every time I turn on my side

I have recently noted this feeling every time I turn to any of my sides when trying to sleep. It happens even as I'm just going to bed, as well as when I turn in the middle of the night. When I get up in the morning I stumble as I seem to have no balance for a few seconds. It's quite a pleasant feeling, so I'm just wandering what is the source for its occurrence and whether it could be harmful in any way. This has not affected my sleep in any way; I still sleep easily and can remember my dreams.

I have recently gone back to University and have been waking up earlier than I was during the holidays (however, I do feel that has corrected itself right now), and prior to starting University I had begun meditating daily. Due to University I was constantly active for a whole week with barely any leisure time, but I still felt full of energy, and have been very productive. I have also been trying to sit up straight every time I sit down in order to correct my bad posture. I'm just noting this as I feel they may have to do with what is happening since it has been a change in my routine. I have also found that when I sit straight and I put my head back and roll my eyes upwards I get the same feeling as that of spinning. When I do that and get up I feel dizzy and have little balance for a few seconds (Does happen when I don't lay my head backwards too sometimes).

When I become still I notice that the world seems to be spinning a little, feels like I'm drunk. It actually reminds me of the dream world so I'm enjoying it, just hope that it isn't something that could be potentially serious

I have been told that it could be a lack of oxygen reaching the brain, but I'm not too sure. I also read somewhere that as I lay the fluids in my ear are re-adjusting or something. I had never experienced that before when I turned to my side...

If anyone one more experienced about the subject or who has experienced anything similar could provide some suggestions as to the cause of this I'd be really grateful!

This definitely sounds like something physical.

I often have similar experiences, and have found that, in my case, my chronically bad sinuses are the culprit. But it could also be something in your ears (an infection, perhaps), or perhaps a blood pressure problem. I'm not a doctor, though, and (I hope) even a responsible doctor would not diagnose this on a forum. If it begins to bother you, or gets worse, you might want to bring it up with your doctor.

Hmm, interesting. When I am generally unwell, the problems tend to be in regards to my sinuses, so it could well be something of that sort. But I do feel fine so I will wait a while longer to see how it goes and if it persists I will seek guidance from a professional.
