I've already been told once that my current sleep habits are healthy, but I'm wanting to get a second opinion mostly for the fun of it. n_n

I usually go to bed sometime between 9:00 and 11:00 at night. I can barely make it to midnight, so I don't even try. I lie half-awake in bed for about an hour or two depending on when I go to bed (I'm usually out like a light by midnight or thereabouts).

Then, I'm usually awake by around 5:00 or 6:00, and I literally can't stand to sleep in past 8:00. My shoulders and various other joints in my extremities start hurting like crazy if I'm down for too long. Also, it just gets too boring to lie in bed and do absolutely nothing. I'm a morning dragon, yes. n_n

Also, I think that some of y'all would be surprised to know I'm 17, and I sleep this way. I actually find it odd that a lot of my classmates can stand to stay up to midnight or later, and sleep in until lunchtime. O_o

I think that is pretty healthy overall. Waking up consistently at 5 or 6 and just going to bed in the evening when you're tired is actually one of the healthier ways to sleep I have heard. The one thing I wonder though, is your mattress OK? The fact that you're in pain if you sleep in later may mean that your mattress is bad.

Well, the matress is a bit soft come to think of it, but I've also slept on firm mattresses and I've had the same problem.

I don't like sleeping late either. It's a waste of life. Even if I'm out until 3am, I'm still up before 10.
But under normal bed time hours, if I sleep much past 9, I start to hurt. I'll usually have a headache. But, If I'm up at 7:30 I'm much more refreshed and not hurting.

Maybe you have poor circulation? Do you exercise at all?
      I sleep to dream.

Wish I could be like you! I usually have difficulty going to sleep before midnight and then I also find it difficult to get up in the morning! I have to set my alarm clock for about an hour before the time I actually need to wake up and I love to stay in bed for a long time even if I can't go back to sleep! If you feel good throughout the day then I guess it's healthy!

I wish I could do that as well.

I go to bed around 2AM (2:30AM is about the latest I'll stay up until). I wake up anywhere from 10AM-11:30AM, and on the rare occasion, 8AM for the early class. So I usually get around 8-9 hours of sleep. For the 8AM class, I have to drink coffee or I'm back in bed for another 1-2 hours.

I just wish I could push this entire schedule back 2-3 hours, but it's hard to do so living the college life.
