      Ubersleep book!

Puredoxyk, the creater of the Uberman and Everyman sleep schedules, is nearly done with her book, "Ubersleep"!

I've read the table of contents, and I'm super excited to get this once it comes out! Hopefully it does before the summer.

I'd like to see the table of contents too. Where did you get your info, I didn't see it on his blog at puredoxyk.com.

There's a pretty good audio version of the original spanish floating around online. I've listened to about half. That's what those iThingies are for, eh?

Looks very promising and I hope it releases soon!

She's going to publish it both in printed version as in (cheaper) downloadable PDF.

Looks really good! Seems to cover most of the important topics.Should we invite her to publish an excerpt here? Has anyone had contact with her?

I asked her a question one time and she answered it.

That would be pretty cool if she put some of it on here!

I just got my copy and tried to submit a comment inviting her to publish an excerpt here but I got an Internal Server Error on her site. If anyone else wants to try and invite her that would be much appreciated.

I was gonna buy the hard copy, but I think I'll just get the pdf so I can get it instantly.

Gonna buy it in an hour or so... starting everyman tomorrow!

Asher, I also get the internal service error. Perhaps you can try going here.

I have commented on her site before and remember getting the error, but the comment got through. So your comment might have gotten through... they are reviewed before they are made public, however.

With like 3 weeks on Everyman I DILDed twice and was very close to WILDing. On Everyman it only works on the naps (not on the core sleep) but on the uberman any piece of sleep fits

Puredoxyk is a member... and she's apparently going to post an excerpt.

(I spied on your conversation, Ash. )

      I'm excited!

I still haven't bought yet... I'll get right on that!

      EDIT: Just bought!

So... I got the pdf 5 minutes ago, and have read 10 pages.

It's an exciting read... so now I'm sad.

I'm 16 (almost 17), and I really want to go polyphasic. After reading the disclaimer, as well as thinking for a bit, I'm going to have to hold off for another year or two.

It's kind of happy, though. Once I get into college, I'll be able to go into Uberman instead of Everyman. I'll probably try my best to mold my classes around my nap times.

I'm going to keep on reading this now, and make plans for the future.

Sounds almost like doing 3 WBTBs a day....the drawback is that you only have around 20 minutes per shot

Nothing to be sad about, you're quite accomplished at 16, being a reverend and having a Ph.D.

Plus an upside of having a monophasic or biphasic sleep schedule is that you can still do WBTBs and have a long period of BTB time; with ubersleep, you're BTB time is limited - sorry, no LDing beyond 20" allowed.

Actually, about half the naps can result in WILDs.

The purpose of me going into polyphasic wouldn't be for lucid dreaming. I would maintain lucid dreaming as much as possible on a polyphasic schedule, but I would enjoy the benefit of a 20-22 hour day much more.

Lucid dreaming is one of the best ways (certainly the funnest) to spend sleeping hours, but if I can convert those hours to waking I would definitely do it! That's enough time to sufficiently (almost overly) practice guitar, piano, and whatever instruments I pick up. Enough to actually read books... it's enough to write a book. I could do a lot of stuff that I don't normally have time for, yet would love to do.

... and I'm not even a reverend. Once I turn 18, I'm going to buy my reverendship over the internet. As well as a Rabbi... and whatever else I can get.

      Reverend Rabbi Stephen, the Agnostic

What are the table of contents? The ToC pdf on her site is down...

Interesting that it's so darn cheap... would definitely be cool to see her perspective on polyphasic sleep since, well, she's been involved in it for so long. I don't read her blog so I'm not really "in" on her current thoughts/opinions/observations on polyphasic sleep.
