It's called being young, I'm 22 and I get up for work everyday at 6 and i look like a zombie in the morning LOL... |

When I wake up at 7 to get ready for school, I usually most of the time am tired. I go to bed at 11:00 and usually fall asleep pretty quickly (5-30 minutes depending on how tired I am). So, I just about get my 8 hours of sleep, but I always wake up tired. What's wrong with me? |

I would rather die on my feet then to live on my knees.
happens to me whether i sleep 3 hours or 13 hours, same feeling.. eh.. |
|
I'm always tired in the morning too and I get half an hour more sleep. |

Have you guys tried waking up 10 minutes earlier or later? Sometimes, if I wake up at the wrong point in my sleep cycle, I will be mad groggy no matter how much sleep I got. |
|
I also wake up at around 7:00 AM to go to school. Usually, I'll have a lot of trouble getting up to get ready in the morning. However, I find that lucid dreaming actually helps me wake up feeling happy, inspired, and energized. Try to time your sleep cycle so that your night (well, morning) ends in a lucid dream. |

This is the most likely reason. Sleep cycles actually last around 1hr30min though its obviously not exactly that for everyone. The 8 hours sleep thing is a myth its like saying everyone needs to wear size 6 shoes (uk). If you wake up during the sleep cycle your gonna feel like shit so like R_B said you may want to experiment waking up at different times so you wake up at the end. |

Green Tea. Drink it. Be happy. |

lol. Green tea is good... In fact I'm gonna go drink some right now. |

Well I remember when I was a kid (I'm talking 5-10 years old), I would awaken feeling refreshed and alert. However, ever since puberty hit, it's been relatively down hill from there. |

Man, you're lucky. I have to wake up at 6, sometimes earlier, to go to school. There should be a law that all public schools have to start at 8:00 or later. Who agrees? |

It's odd, in my county (not country, for those who are skimming ) they just bumped the high-school times to 9:30, and everyone's complaining about it (students). Unfortunately I'm graduating, so I won't get to reap those oh-so-sweet extra hours of sleep. Nevertheless, I can not figure out what there is to complain about. I -love- waking up later. Those crazy kids... |

You know, I think I was tired for the first 25 years of my life, but then I finally got used to getting up in the morning and it hasn't been so bad the last few years. And if you throw in responsible things like exercising and eating right, you should be ok. Make sure you eat a good breakfast (not bacon and greasy eggs) and have snacks often (handful of almonds, an apple) and drink lots of water. Your body will start to feel good, and will start to feel less tired eventually. |

I've got a nasty case of fibro myalgia. So I'm pretty much drained of energy 24/7. I'm always still tired and in pain when I wake up no matter how much sleep I get. I'm only 22. It gets to me sometimes. Just gotta somehow find the energy to push through it though, and keep pushing. |
|
I'm 19, and I have the same exact problem. It doesn't matter how long I sleep for, what time I went to bed, or what time I woke up. I always wake feeling groggy and tired. I usually just go back to sleep, which is crazy when I just slept a good 7-10 hours |
