      Sleeping with TV on?

As far back as I can remember, I've always slept with at least the radio on. I got a TV in my room when I was about 7 (about 8 and a half years ago), and have always slept with it on since.

My question: is this okay since I'm used to it or does it affect my sleep?

Well sometimes i used to sleep with the radio on too but when they were talking and i was dreaming i would dream about what they were talking about. They were talking about horror movies once and it caused me to have a night mare. so ya i think it affects your dreams.

Well I don't think it will affect your overall sleep that much. Most TV's come with a sleep timer function, and you could always set that if you're worried about it affecting your sleep.

It affects my slepp for the better since i have tinnitus, listening to that noise in the silence is a terror.. one time i was watching a t.v. show in my dream and when i woke up it was the same episode i watched in my dream, like my mind recognised that episode.

sometimes a little noise helps... it's honestly easier for me to concentrate if there is just a little bit of something happening in the background where i can't see it but can hear it...

i sleep with a tv on when i can... it's not really easier to sleep with a tv... i just somehow feel better about it.

I fell asleep watching an early morning Formula 1 race last year, I dreamt that a driver had slid off the race track into gravel and when I woke up that happened. So in short yes it does affect your sleep and your dreams.

I sleep with the radio and but I set the sleep button to 60 min so it shuts off after awhile. I used to use the TV with the timer into halfway into the night but, actually, I think i had more LDs then than I do now.
