      messed up Night workers sleep pattern!

      ok i work nights and i do 8hr shifts, 5 days a week, 12am-8am. This is my schedule I will start at tuesday.
      Red: means set in stone i can't change.
      Green: means it is open for sleep and can be changed.
      Blue: means i'm sleeping currently so can be changed.

      Tues.
      12am-7am work, 7am-8am travel home and shower, 8am-9:30am relax, 9:30am-5:30pm sleep, 5:30pm-10pm busy, 10pm-11pm possible nap, 11pm-12am ready&travel to work.

      Wed.
      12am-8am work, 8am-9am travel home and shower, 9am-9:30am relax, 9:30am-5:30pm sleep, 5:30pm-10pm free time, 10pm-11pm possible nap, 11pm-12am ready&travel to work.

      Thurs.
      12am-8am work, 8am-9am travel home and shower, 9am-9:30am relax, 9:30am-5:30pm sleep, 5:30pm-10pm free time, 10pm-11pm possible nap, 11pm-12am ready&travel to work.

      Fri.
      12am-8am work, 8am-9am travel home and shower, 9am-2pm free time, 2pm-11pm sleep, 11pm-12am ready&travel to work.

      Sat.
      12am-8am work, 8am-9am travel home and shower, 9am- 7pm doing saturday stuff (so basically free), 7pm-11pm either awake or whenever i crash sleeping, 11pm-12am sleep.

      Sun.
      12am-8am sleep, 8am-10am possibly asleep depending on what time crashed the night before, 10am-10pm busy, 10pm-12am chill.

      Mon.
      12am-8am sleep, 8am-9pm free time, 9pm-11pm sleep, 11pm-12am ready&travel to work.

      So basically I want to know if i'm making the most of my time or wether i should change stuff around. I have been coping as it is for a month but i feel dozy at around 10pm on Tues-Thurs before i go to work. Any advice would be apreciated, ty.

      Thats quite a schedule you have there. Sorry i dont know what to tell you without som information on what kind of work you do. Is it hard labor or do you sit at a computer, etc? Im kinda backwards myself, hence the name. I work 3pm to 12am for the most part, and dont go to sleep until around 5am. It took a while getting used to, but between school and work, being nocturnal has become my life.
