a very disturbing story

my friend told me this a while back- it was in the army and his friend was very tired, so he fell asleep on a desk while sitting with his hands uner his head. he woke up only about 8 hours later.. now....... the blood couldnt get to the hand..... after waking up he found he has a necrosis! thay had to cut his hand off!!!! this is insane!!!! what do u think?

necrosis after 8hrs I have slept on my hands before and woke with them numb or pins and needles.. I don't know if I can believe that story. Surely you would wake up if your body was decaying. lol

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh , how in the hell do you fall asleep and wake up with your hands decaying??? necrosis is mostly cause by cancer or a serious injury. Not by falling alseep with your hands on your head. Im with Lunica , about that one.

What part of the of the world was he in?? Many spiders can cause necrosis.

I don't think a human head would be heavy enough to completely cut off circulation to a hand. But maybe if someone were drunk or otherwise incapacitated they would not wake when a body part started to die due to lack of oxygen. It's not impossible. And I've certainly woken on occasion unable to move a numb arm.

Was he in the US or in a foreign country at the time? In some countries they cut off hands as punishment for certain crimes, such as stealing. He might have done something like that and not wanted anyone to know. (Not saying he did, just suggesting a theory.)
