      Sleep with anyone?

Do you find it difficult or easy to fall asleep in bed with someone? How does it affect your dreaming?

I sleep with someone every night, and it doesn't effect my dreams one bit.

I sleep with someone for about 6 hours per night (we have diffrent schedules) and then I sleep the rest of the time alone. Sometimes it is easier for me to fall asleep and remember my dreams (and LD) when I'm not alone in the bed. But often I fall asleep easier and have better recall and LDs during the time I'm alone in the bed. I think this has NOTHING to do with wether I'm alone in bed or not. It is just that the longest REM phases happen in the morning.

I sleep alone (unfortunately) but I would assume it would have some effect(however small) on sleeping/dreaming but I doubt it would be anything terribly noticeable unless you have a rather restless partner.:3

Well I don't have another person to sleep with But when I'm at home I sleep with my dog. She's been sleeping in my bed since I was 10, so I fall asleep rather well when she's there. Going to school makes it hard to fall asleep in an empty bed, even if it was just a dog

Really can't say how it effects my dreaming, I don't think it does at all. But then again she is just a dog who sleeps at the end of the bed, not a person who may be getting up or making noise or something

A week ago. I was staying over at my girlfriends house. We slept in the same bed. Nothing happened

I believe its easier because you have somebody too hold onto.

I find it a lot easier for me to fall asleep with someone...

But now that I'm older, I can't really sleep with anyone without my parents finding out...

Actually, I can't even get a girl to sleep with me...

It's hard for me to sleep next to someone and sleeping with another person in a bed is usually considered pretty unhealthy, because sleep is disturbed by the other persons movement. On the other hand the social component may be healthy again. However, the worst thing would be having a lucid dream in the morning and someone wakes you up for some reason.

I must admit, when I read the topic title I was thinking something else completely...

I find that sleeping next to someone makes me fall asleep faster, unless they snore...

I had three OBEs just an hour ago. In the first I wasn't able to see anything but white - if I do it at night, I usually see black instead - the second was a great but puzzling experience and the third was about to take me below the earth... but then my cat nudged me and I was back in my body. Bad cat! Someone else in my bed would surely destroy many experiences.

When I sleep at my boyfriend's I can quite honestly say it doesn't interfere with my dreams. However it does affect my sleeping patterns, I'm easily awoken when he shifts around and sometimes we will wake up together in the middle of the night and get back to sleep a bit later (up to an hour). I often have lucid dreams when this happens, kind of like an unforseen WBTB method I guess.

It's funny that the general opinion is you should not stay awake for too long or too short a time before going back to sleep with a WBTB method, but for me anything between 5-70 minutes works.

Very interesting insight here. I think it's easier for me to fall asleep with someone... just for that feeling of comfort, and I stay asleep... unless I have to go to the bathroom.

I sleep with someone every night. It's so hard to fall asleep when he is not here. Right now, he's gone to Philadelphia, and I'll probably be up all night tossing and turning. Not sure why. I think it's more of a comfort thing for me, knowing he's there. It doesn't affect my dreaming when he's here, but it does when he's gone.
