Go get some melatonin.. they sell it every where.. dont use the over the counter sleep aids.. u can get hooked and they leave you feeling groggy.. Melatonin is a vitamin its supposed to be taken 30 minutes before bed.. it boosts your seratonin levels and allows you to relax and fall asleep and stay asleep plus it helps dreams be more vivid.

Or start with your toes and tense each one up by countin to 10, and move from your toes to your head tensing up and holding each area for ten seconds, then tense your whole body up and hold it for ten seconds and you will feel like you are falling into and thru your matress.. it helps your body to relax and your mind.. I went to a doctor and this is what he told me to do.. he was an indian doctor.. it really works..

      Good luck!

You need to relax before going to bed. Don't drink caffeine(coffee, coke etc), don't do anything physical(exercise sport), and don't get to much mental stimulation(computer games).

Anxiety or stress might be the cause. Maybe guided meditation can help:

Also the Melatonin is in the vitamin isle. it usually runs about 2-3 dollars a bottle for 20 tablets. They are completely normal.. natural and im sure if you went to a doc they would tell you to get these first because they are natural. They wouldnt even hurt a baby, my brother used to not be able to sleep he was 5, my mom gave him a uarter of one and he slept all night.. it really calmed him down..

Just lay still, relax your whole body. And relax the mind: stop thinking.
It is indeed that simple. (not at first)
Just try to think about nothing!
      You will be amazed!

As with everyone else, Melatonin. If I take it too late at night (like 12-2am) then the unfortunate side effect is that it will make you want to sleep your full night's rest (like 8-9 hours) otherwise feel a bit groggy when you first want to get up. No real side effects other than vivid dreams. I take it on occassion, like once or twice a week if I feel like I will need it.

Lucid dreaming is such a tauntingly simple thing to attain...
