Please help me diagnose my sleep disorder

I spent a few months trying to improve my dream recall and becoming lucid and had no success no matter what I tried. I had just figured I wasn't doing something right and gave up after a few months. I'm starting to think I didn't have any luck because of a sleep disorder. In the past few years, I've developed the same symptoms my mother has had as long as she can remember. Every waking moment we're tired to the point of wanting to take a nap. No amount of sleep of caffeine makes a difference. A couple days ago, I think I caught myself going into REM sleep randomly. I was watching TV when it seemed like my vision blurred and my mind was racing. I woke up about 10-15 seconds later. All I could remember was my mind racing and vision blurring. Can anyone provide some insight please?

Sounds serious enough for you to go and see a doctor.

I'm not on DV much these days, but I'll try to toss a cool dream or two into my DJ.
