      Zaps and Buzzes

Anyone ever found as they're dropping off sometimes, especially if they have had poor sleep, that they get loud zaps that make their whole body jump in bed and wake them back up? Though it doesn't have to make you even twitch, I was having some the other night it was like having electrical jolts going through my head every time I was trying to drop off. Thing is, they were happening so frequently that I was expecting them each time (every 3-4 seconds), and their symptoms got less intense until I reached sleep paralysis.

It's instantaneous, lasts a fraction of a second, so do the visuals, usually zigzag patterns one on top of the other, or shapes like diamonds. But for the amount of time they last it is very vivid. Also in that time frame sounds are greatly distorted, louder and accompanied by a static fuzz.

As I said, it's like getting an electrical jolt and lasts a fraction of a second. Anybody know if they have a name?

Yeah I get it sometimes. It's really awesome. Seeing those psychedelic patterns for just a split second and a loud loud loud loud laser-y sort of sound lol
