Speakers`

Hey all, I want to get better sound from my computer because after many years I still have the same stock speakers it came with. Anyways, I got the idea to hook up my boombox to my computer while still keeping the speakers so it gives sort of a surround sound and plus my boombox if pretty good with the base tones, something my speakers lack.

What do you think would be better- getting new speakers and a subwoofer for my comp or just getting a cable to connect my boombox to my computer while still having the speakers plugged in.

Get some new speakers.

Out of those two options, getting new speakers seems the best option. But you can also try to hook up your boombox without using your current speakers and see how that turns out. That's more or less the setup I have, and it works pretty well. Since those cables cost next to nothing, it's a good idea to explore the option before investing in new speakers.
