My laptop just stopped working :/

Okay, so before i tell you, let me just say this happened before, but not in the same way.

When i turn on my laptop, it loads, then it says 'cant read disk, press ctrl+alt+delete so restart' So i do, but then it just says that again and it goes into an endless loop. Sometimes when i press a button, it makes a very LOUD beep sound...

Before, when this happened, it would only make the beep sound, no ctrl alt delete.

If it helps, im using a shitty Dell inspiron :/

if it helps even more: I never download ANYTHING, i only go on Dreamviews, Facebook, Youtube, GameFAQS and google. I preform a virus scan about every 3 days.

      Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like either the hard drive is going, or the motherboard is having issues. Maybe the hard drive was poorly connected to begin with, and a very small "thud" was sufficient to break the connection? You could open it up and see if that's the case. For a hard drive, it might not void the warranty to just open the correct back panel and take it out, and make sure it can connect, etc.

But beyond that, this is likely to be a hardware issue.

It is my PROFESSIONAL opinion that Replicon is correct.

You could try booting with a windows disk and perform repair. But this is probably a hardware issue, as Replicon said.

Sounds like a hard drive issue. Lappys are prone to hard drive issues because of how often they are moved around. If you jostled it at all while it was reading/writing it could have easily damaged the plates.
You could try booting it up with a linux CD and see if it mounts. But if you have no idea how you would go about doing that I'd just take it to a technician.
The hard drive is probably fried though, hope you have a back up.
