Yeah but that's a different "might." Your original quote was "Wine might be sponsored by Sun, but I'm pretty sure that Firefox pays for itself... ." The word "might" in the "[subject] might [predicate], but ..." construction has a different meaning than "possibly." I'm pretty sure you were stating the same thing as "While Wine is sponsored by Sun, I'm pretty sure that Firefox pays for itself... ." That's how I use that construction anyway.
