On another note, is anyone using DirectX 10? I thought that a few games were released using it, but they all flopped so developers are sticking with DX 9.
Well, it's up to the graphics board makers, Nvidia & AMD
(and Intel and a few others as well, but for the most part it's Nvidia & AMD)
MS really has no say in Windows's OpenGL support

Most games use DX9, with some using DX10 features if available
Shadowrun is, to date, the only game to be released "DX10 only"
and it sold so poorly, the game studio went bust
