Maybe it's failing to terminate a program or getting stuck in a loop doing that. Try closing everything you have running in the background before shutting down? |

Weird 'problem' with my pc lately
recently something odd keeps happening with my pc, as I go to shut the computer off i click shut down, then it goes through the shutdown process and as I hear the clicking off sound I usually do when my pc shuts off then the pc does a restart or something and boots up again....
Then upon bootup I get this weird error message saying the system was forced to shutdown or something, then I exit the error msg and go about my business playing videogames or w/e...and everything seems to be running okay...just occasionally this happens and after the error msg i can shut the pc off normally and it shuts off...its oddI would rather die on my feet then to live on my knees.

I would call that either a virus, user error, or faulty components. It happened to me once, when I shut the computer down and folded it up (it's a laptop), which put it to sleep and interfered in the shutdown procedure. I had the blinking LED that told me it was asleep instead of shut down, so I opened it back up, and it said it was shutting down, which it finally did. Booted it up the next morning, and I had the freaky blue error message.

I think it may be a program failing to end or something, but whatever it is, it seems to be connected to a game I recently installed, duke nukem 3d with the whole opengl high-def pack...the game is a little buggy and freezes and crashes sometimes and usually the pc restarts itself in the shutdown after that...but if all goes well, then it shuts off okay...
Guess I gotta stay away from crashy softwareI would rather die on my feet then to live on my knees.

You can just open task manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and shutdown the process manually when the game crashes.
