FRACKING IESpyMonster is ruining my machine.
My daughter had my comp for one fracking night and now I have anywhere from 28-48 viruses, worms, trojans etc.

      Can no one help?

Well I'm not actually an expert on these subjects, and it all depends on what kind of trojans and worms you might have. Some scanners might be able to detect them all, or maybe not. If you actually don't have anything at all right now I can recommend that you go and start off with getting Avast! antivirus:
      http://www.avast.com/index

There's a free home version, and they're just really good at update virus definitions. Sometimes several times a day. Besides that it got resident scanners to protect you before you eventually download bad files containing it and so forth.

Besides that you could also try downloading Spybot:
      http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html

For more spybot orientet scanning. I'm not that familiar to the spyware scene and scanners, so there's problaly better alternatives out there... but spybot isn't bad and might help you remove some of the bad stuff.

Depending on the damage a re-intall of your PC might also be a good idea... always a quick good solution. But if you're not comfortable with doing that, then wait a bit ^^

I'm actually crying here. All my icons have disappeared from my desktop, my comp randomly shuts itself off and I've downloaded apps but Security Tools says it's compromised byt keylogger so I can't even run the fracking virus tools.

      I just got this machine.
      THis is fracking ridiculous.

AND I quit smoking over a week ago, so THIS is nNOT helping.

      GRRRR
Stupid hacker losers with no fracking life.

Thanks for the recommendations. If my machine is saved, I'll be sure to use them

hehe, as the Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy would tell you, Don't panic!

If it really is as bad as you described I really think the best way to go is a re-install of your PC. It's not hard and quite a quick progress. If you're unsure about how to do it, maybe there's someone close to you that can help out?

Oh and talk to your children about safe web browsing, haha (no offense intended)

Don't know what browser you're using btw, but it's always a good idea to go with browsers like google chrome or firefox... they should generally offer you better protection.

      [EDIT]

You could also try to do a system restore of your windows, to a point before your daughter used the PC and see if it'll help.

I'm beyond panicaed. I'm smoking :hangs head in shame:

I lecture my kids beyond belief. My hubby bought me this comp with the expressed order NOT to let my kidson.

I'd rather go computerless than have him help and he keeps me on such a short budget I cannot afford to have anyone fix it.

      So, basically, I'm fracked.

Try to do a system restore To a point just before your daughter used the PC. Basically the latest avaiable point after this happened.

The system restore will reset your machine to the state of the time a "snapshot" was taken, so it might help.

Now I don't know what version of windows you're using, using Windows 7 here, but you might be able to find the system restore tool under Accesories -> System Tools from the start menu.

      It's easy to do

It might not work since there are ways to get around that, like hiding the virus in the restore area:
      http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/8/cle...ystem-restore/

But you might be able to get rid of some. Otherwise the article describes how to get rid of any nasty things before doing a restore.

Try installing in Safe Mode, maybe it won't block you there.

Calm down Zhaylin, I'll walk you though what to do.

First off, go to another computer (if you only have one, go to a neighbour or friend)
Goto Ubuntu.com, download Ubuntu and burn it to a cd/dvd
Put that disc in your infected computer and boot from it (Press F8 while it boots up and select boot from CD)

You will see Linux load up. This will allow you to get all of the files that you need off of the machine without triggering the viruses and keyloggers.

Once you have all of your documents and such in a safe place (a usb drive or a CD or something) reinstall windows. That will give you a fresh system free of viruses.

Download and install Chrome and use that as your default browser, never use Internet Explorer again, it's full of security holes.

Download and install AVG (a free virus protection tool) http://free.avg.com/us-en/homepage

      Now my desktop is blocked.
      Not blocked... black

Is there a way to turn off Security tool?

I've stupidly been using IE 7 which came with the comp.
      It's a dell

It's about to log me off again...

What version of windows are you using? You can enter safe mode through the advanced options menu... generally I'd say try and press and hold F8 at the boot menu, this works for some windows.

But again like ninja said, a reinstall would be advisable A restore is not guarenteed to work as I said, there's ways for the virus to restore too.

Thanks but I have no other comp. Not even a neighbor to help (I have no friends and my hubby's OFF LIMITS)

      My CD says:
      "Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit"
      and
"For Reinstalling Dell Inspiron 560/560s Desktop Computer Software"

Do my thing, use Linux Live to get your files. Your hard drive isn't corrupt, Windows is, you can still get your files.

Well the CD you found is the correct one. But if you want to backup any files follow ninjas advise first.

      [EDIT]

Never mind then, haha Then you can safely go ahead and reinstall windows.

Then remember to get yourself another browser (chrome, firefox, etc) and a proper antivirus program from the get-go (AVG or Avast!), personally using avast, but AVG is good aswell. Mostly I think it's down to personal preference.

      Wait just a second.

When you re-install windows. All your files get put into "Windows.old". So if there are any files that you need, then just go to that folder (C:\windows.old) And just take whatever you need.

      Unless I'm missing something?

But not that it matters if you don't have any important files anyway.

I am now in safe mode with networking.
I went in regular safe mode but my recent downloads weren't there.
SO... I'm going to attempt to clean my machine first in safe mode. If that doesn't work, I'll be off-line for awhile while everything reinstalls.

      Thanks for all the help.

      **EDIT**
      WHOOP WHOOP!!!!
In safe mode, I was able to restore my computer. I installed google chrome but dont like it. I installed Firefox and now I'm tryint to figure out how to install my google bookmarks app. It seems to have disappeared from all options GRRR. But at least it's a little grrr.
Thanks a million for everyone's help!!!!!!!!!

I'm installing all the programs recommended and I will use them every day.

I am VERY (VERY< VERY< VERY!!!!!) happy now

It might be beneficial to download Combofix, which is a program that scans over your computer and attempts to remove any malware that it recognizes. I've only had to use it once (after my friend downloaded 4chan fandango onto MY machine, ffff), but it worked wonders for me. I couldn't run a system restore, so it was really my last option.

Good deal. I was about to say that it was a bad suggestion to install Chrome. Chrome is perhaps Google's first mistake in my eyes. It's not terribly as bad as IE, but it still sucks ass. I switched from FF to Chrome a few months ago and kept running it for a month until I grew pissed enough to switch back.

I use Chrome (starts screwing up due to cache and cookie problems internally) for speed browsing, and FF for the heavy stuff.

FireFox is the safest browser. Not the fastest but it lets you control EVERYTHING the comes through as a result of your web browsing.

Avast! (<- that's the name, i'm not yelling) is the BEST (<- now i'm yelling jk lol) anti-virus software out there IMO. It updates EVERYDAY! Avast! also scans ALL your activities on your machine so no matter what you're doing (downloading, installing, browsing, running ANY software) it scans it the entire time it makes a move. It catches ANYTHING truly malicious and immediately notifies you and blocks and deletes it.

I've been installing a program that had a trojan embedded in it and Avast! allowed me to install the program and deleted the trojan. I was like hell yeah! Most other Antivirus programs would just block the installation ( i almost pooped myself on this one lol)

Go with Avast!, you wont be disappointed. McAfee takes complete control of your system, and Norton will spam the hell out of you if you let it expire.
