      wild not working

      please help me!
I really want to be able to wild but, whenever i try i fall asleep during it. Except this last time where i tried during the week end shortly after getting up. I got pretty far in, i started to feel numb and had other similar sensations, but then really fast it just stopped. I did several reality checks, and nothing i was awake. After that i tried again using binaural beats, and i just laid in my bed counting for about an hour and i didn't get anything.

%^$@... I had something written down and I hit the back button. Anyway, sounds like you got close to it. I've never actually WILDed before, but I know that the best time to try WILDed is about 4-6 into your sleep. Bbbbuuuuuutttttt if your like me and you don't get results, I suggest trying to DILD or something similar.

Don't expect wilds to work if you've only been trying for a little while though. I don't know how long you've been doing it, but the more you become familier with it the easier it gets. I used to get into sp and instantly out because it freaked me out. Now i can usually stay in it for some time before something happens. For me i hear my moms voice yelling something in a whisper in my ear. It is realllllllly annoying. And wakes me up from sp every time. I'm getting ther though.

I disagree; you don't need multiple failed WILDs under your belt to make them succeed. Just get the technique down, and make sure you're not too tired. I fail whenever I don't give myself adequate time to wake up. Even if you feel like you're awake after waking in the middle of the night, you're probably not conscious enough to maintain a WILD.

It's all about finding the right time to wake up and the right time to stay up. For me, my sweet spot was 5 1/2 to 6 hours of sleep, then stay up for 5-10 min, maybe 15 min if I'm tired enough, then back to bed.

I might listen to Lucid MP3's with earphones to relax, or I'll lay in bed and count my breaths.
