My latest experiences have led me to this sight. I have always had an innate ability for dream recall and lucid dreaming. It has only been recently that I have experienced what I later found out to be called WILD. I credit this largely due to my recent change to a sober lifestyle. I moved away from Denver, CO (land of pot and beer) for a bit slower and less stressful lifestyle after graduating from art school. Two weeks later I noticed an amazing change in dreaming and sleep patterns in general.

The event that leads me here was my first WILD. While falling into a dream, I remember feeling my head and arm resting on my pillow. I payed it little attention, until I found myself in the middle of a lucid dream, and the sensation of being horizontal in bed was only just fading. After having had a couple significant DILDs earlier that week I knew that this was something different. This dream went on to be one of the most vivid and unnerving dreams I've had in recent memory. I will share it in it's entirety in Dream Journals, but in summation, I watched a tornado decent from a cloud, gathered my family to run out to a shelter. We watched as a dozen saucer shaped UFOs came out of the towering cloud in deferent flying formations. We all watched in ambivalent wonder, until I got the feeling that we needed to get moving. As we did, the earth behind us exploded thousands of feet into the air in a large burning column. We turned to run only to see many more UFOs coming over the opposite horizon. And the dream ended, in panic.

As you can imagine, this was a powerful event that stuck with me for days later. I then got online to do some research about LDing and found out what I had experienced had a name, WILD. Needless to say, it lived up to its name and has gotten my attention. I just wanted to inquire whether anyone has experienced a WILD before ever knowing such a thing existed, and if anyone else has been able to slip into a WILD with little to no intention of doing so. After reading about different techniques given on how to wild, I feel very grateful for having stumbled upon it myself, as over thinking this matter seems to be what holds so many people back from experiencing it. I am also grateful to have found this site, as it is an amazing resource of knowledgeable like minded people. I feel that this experience and gift of dream has everything to do with the acceleration of consciousness that this world is feeling, and will play a large role in manifesting the outcome that we all desire.
