      I'm not trying to push an argument, but a different way to get to the goal, is a technique. If you just relax to get to SP but someone has to count to 100 (for them to relax as you did) its achieving the same goal, but they are two different techniques. thats technically what a technique is

      As long as the person counting to 100 knows that it's a crutch, it's probably almost entirely placebo, and their "technique" could stop working at any time, then sure.

      You may be right, I was only pointing out that it is a technique non the less, flawed or otherwise.
