Waking up without moving for indirect WILD methods

No matter how many times i tell myself "I'm not going to move when I wake up" before going to sleep, I wake up in the middle of the night finding myself picking my nose, scratching, or changing my sleeping position. Then I go "Arghhhh! I said don't move!"

I've been trying this technique for a week, but I have succeeded only two times. Is there any effective method when it comes to waking up without moving? Maybe I should start writing a dream journal again?

Maybe if you set an alarm to wake up, you would recognize the sound and train yourself not the move.

The problem is that my iphone alarm would go off forever if I don't get up and squelch it. Is there some kind of alarm clock that rings about 3 times and goes quiet?

yes, there's an app called "12,24 alarm" and that's what I use, you can set it off to go off in 5 seconds (smallest amount of time) but I usually set it for 10 seconds. Just set the "auto lock override" to off, if you need any settings help, then ask me
and use the wind chimes alert, it is the most ambient one that will wake someone up, in my opinion
