      I can't get to SP!

I've been trying to WILD every day this week, usually twice a day.

But I simply can't reach SP. I get close, but I can still move.

I get to the point where I've been breathing and lying perfectly still for 40 minutes but I'm not paralyzed. When I finally do give up, at worst it's difficult to move and makes me feel a little dizzy.

      What I'm doing:
I lie perfectly still on my back, eyes closed. I wait for the feeling to leave my body and then forget about it. My breathing eventually becomes more difficult and I involuntarily twitch a little, my body and my eyes.

I try to keep my mind fairly blank, but I keep track of the darkness behind my eyelids like KingYoshi. On each inhale I count, on exhale, "I'm dreaming." I've even tried aiming my pupils at a dot between my eyebrows.

I've had SP once in my life on accident, but I want more than anything to be able to do it again so I can have my first lucid dreams.

      Help?

Sleep paralysis doesnt necessarily mean that you are completely paralysed as far as I know.

Is there a way I can achieve more complete paralysis though?

I find it impossible to transition to a dream currently.

I have the same problem! Everytime I try it takes up hours, but the way I heard its done is you have to have just come out of REM sleep recently. (Like max 6 hours ago) But im also a newbie and so desperately want my first LD!

Keep in mind that you need to be tired. I tried earlier after a WBTB, but I still wasnt tired enough, I need to get up earlier than 6 hours. The ultimate goal is to fall asleep, but remain conscious. If your paying too much attention to SP and whats happening to you it wont occur. Try to avoid testing yourself to see if you're paralyzed or not.
