When you say every night I assume that you mean before you regularly go to sleep, I don't recommend WILDing without sleep as its very difficult/impossible. It is easiest to WILD whilst in REM sleep (when dreams occur); after about 4-7 hours of sleep. Try a WBTB (Wake Back To Bed), getting up after about 5 hours of sleep, staying up long enough to think clearly (1-30 minutes) and then lying back down and attempting a WILD. You can also try WILDing during an afternoon nap (preferably after 1-8 hours of being awake).
You sound like you have attained advanced stages of SP. Hallucinating the grip on your wrist and visual hallucinations are an indicator that you are almost in a dream. Keep passively watching the hallucinations and try to calm yourself down.
If your WILD attempt is taking more than 20 minutes or so try rolling over gently with your eyes still closed to a different position, and repeating if necessary. In my opinion a WILD shouldn't take more than 2 hours, but its different for everyone.
