Question regarding my attempt at WILD

So I tried to WILD after i went to sleep around 10 o'clock. I set my alarm to 3 AM and woke up.
I went to read like around 40 minutes and tried to go into SP.
At some point i was very relaxed and felt this kind of vibration on my feet. I thought i was entering SP, and my breathing became more frequent and went faster. Then nothing happened. So i wonder, is it because i got too excited that my SP got like 'cancelled'? Or wasn't I really near SP?

After that i tried again but got kinda tired of tryingand just decided to got sleep.AND SOMEHOW, I had a very vivd lucid dream! It was awesome! Did it have anything to do with my WILD attempt or is because I slept in my REM cycle?

Am i going in the right direction with WILD?
      Thanks!

Nowhere near SP. You made the classic beginner mistake of inducing "false SP", which is where you try to force it to happen and your mind starts to imagine and manifest what you think SP feels like.

Lucid dreaming was just fresh in your mind. If anything, what you might have experienced was a MILD. But no, it had nothing to do with your WILD attempt beyond that. For WILD, you need to remember that it's all about falling asleep without losing consciousness, not creating SP through your force of will.
