      Checking where I am at

Hey guys, first time poster here, I am very happy to get to take a part of this wonderful community! (after having lurked for a bit).

After having read plenty of WILD tutorials, including the work of LaBerge, and just now recently from community member Mzzkc (who, for the record, had some very interesting inputs), I wanted to kind of see where I am at right now.

I follow along with the standard WBTB method, and then go on by back and stay completely still. After awhile of attempting to WILD, I'll notice my body starts shaking, my eyes vibrating as well, my pulse increasing quite a bit, and I get a hard time controlling my breath. I don't find this frightening at all, the problem is, I'm not sure how to deal with it, as of now, I try simply not to, to just go with it and assume this is a starter for WILD. The previous night, I went through this 3 times without having any end results, what I'm wondering is, if this is even a beginning for WILD, and if so, how to handle it?

I do believe I have had, say, a "proper" start for WILD before, as I was lying still, suddenly, it felt like someone grabbed my sides and pulled me down underground very quickly, at the same time, 2 distorted electric guitars started playing a simple but heavy verse. Is this a proper WILD, or just a different one?

Sounds like false SP, a self-induced state of hyperventilation that has nothing to do with falling asleep or lucid dreaming. It happens when you try to force SP rather than what you should be doing, which is falling asleep.

Now this, on the other hand, is perfect textbook SP. When this sort of thing happens, you can easily enter a lucid dream.

Thanks for taking the time to answer some of my questions, I am currently further studying techniques of WILDing and no doubt have a long way to go.
