Some wierd WILD related(I think?) experiences.

Hey again DV, got something i wonder about.
Whenever i lay down at night, when its completely quiet, i can hear a really small "buzzing" inside my head. I cant really explain it, its not even a sound. Its just something inside my head (No, its not tinitus, all ive asked can hear this too). Maybe its my head thinking? Whatever, when i listen to these for a minute or two, things start getting wierd. I have tried my whole life to describe this feeling, i had it in a feverdream a long time ago, and has tried since. It feels almost like your in a room, a big hall of sorts. And the walls, everything, is making that sound, higher and higher, and it feels like your shrinking, until your extremely small. Really messed up. About the same time, my eyes start going crazy. They are twitching violently. I experience this every time i try it. Homever, last night things got even more wierd. As my eyes started moving, it felt like my eyes were irritated. Like there was sand between my eyelids and my eyes. And i mean like someone was literally POURING sand at my eyes, it was really uncomfortable, almost painful. I stood it for a few minutes, but then it hurt to much. I couldnt feel it anymore as soon as i quit.

So please tell me, what the hell was that? Also, is this the start of a REM?

The buzzing - I think I have it too even though I don't always hear it / purposefully listen to it. Next, I kind of can get out of the buzzing state any moment I want and if I focus on the buzzing in some way I can feel it getting louder and louder, quit shortly after though. Also the eye-sand thing usually happens when you want to sleep. The eyes are just really tired and that may provoke the feeling, but I totally know it. Hope I helped a bit.

Hmmm... I must say that is odd. I wouldn't totally rule out tinnitus, however. Modern theory suggests that tinnitus is actually the sound of electrical activity in the brain that is normally cancelled out by healthy ear function.

      Hey zelz,
I have it also. I naturally lucid dream and also have OOBE's. I usually lie in bed and count down from 100 to 0 then on my second count of 100 to 0, when I hit around 40 or so I get the buzzing in my head, sometimes it can be very strong the first time and actually shocks me and feels quite harsh, but usually it just starts off gently and slowly and progresses as I relax deeper, when it all calms down I usually just roll out of my body or sit up, but do ths slowly or you will be a little disorientated at first. I have had to learn to live with it and controll it as its a natural occurrence for me, started about 5 years ago. The more you relax and just go with the flow the easier it is. Don't be scared, nothing can harm you. Once your out go and have a fly about and have some fun. PM me anytime you want
