      Nearly completed WILD

Hi everyone. Ok, so I have successfully WILDed once. So I know that even though usually people have hypnagogic imagery and sometimes sounds, I don't really experience that. I get flashes of light, and if I think of an object, I see it. That's it. No sounds, or images I don't control.

There is a point when I try a WILD though, that I always get stuck at. I'll be laying there, and I will feel like my body sinks, so I am beneath myself, but I can still feel my real body. I figure this is my dream body. I once felt like my body rotated, that was odd. Anyway, I get to this point, and I'm stuck. I can't progress with my WILD. I have tried visualization for a dream, ive trued to move my dream body, or sitting there and observing like the rest of the WILD. I simply cannot get through this stage. The once I did actually complete a WILD, I caught myself on the verge of sleep, and immediately my body sank, held for a moment, then I heard a slight ringing, my body then vibrated like crazy as I slid for a moment, then dropped into a lucud dream. But any help to get past that separating stage?

You should try to search on google for some OBE exit methods. Congratz on the Lucid though

Hmmm your the only one who can truley know, but for me it sounds like those time you felt your body rotate in your bed or if you sunk so deep that you felt like you were aware of two bodies, you were actually out but just not aware of it. If I would feel those sensations I would just go for it and get out of bed and reality checked. Because more often than we think, we are actually dreaming in these situations. Any strange sensations is the sign of the non-physical state. On my DEILD attempts I actively look for them, but if you end up feeling them randomly like this consider yourself lucky it's a big chance that you are already out!

So my question is - did you reality check?

I never would have thought to do a reality check. When I feel that separation, I can't move my dream body. I can still feel my real body. But you may be right, just because of how I get 'stuck' I will open my eyes and reality check tonight! It may actually work.
I also looked up OBE exits, which I will probably try te next night. Thanks!

Phew! I finally got a chance to post! Sadly, I have been exhausted at night, and I knew a WILD would have utterly failed. I'm hoping to be able to actually attempt one tonight. I can report one success however! I had my third and fourth lucid dream last night. My third started off my mom asking me for a pen, and I had been reading about summoning before I went to bed. So the thing that popped into my head was I wanted to try summoning in a dream. Suddenly after thinking that, I realized it was a dream. So I reached in my pocket and pulled out a pen. When that lucid was fading, I held still when I came out of it, and was back in after only thirty seconds of being in my bedroom. Thank you Dutchraptor, your article on DEILD helped me with my fourth!
I am hopeful for a WILD tonight. Hopefully I will have an update tomorrow.

So I did attempt a WILD last night. I got to the part where my body started to separate, but it stuck in some places. My left leg didn't sink, and neither did the right side of my chest. Since I was in a weird position like that, I actually tried and OBE exit. I imagined magnets over my hands, pulling them. It started to work! But then, I coughed. I have no idea where it came from, but it shattered my SP. But since the OBE method was working, I think doing a RC would show im in a dream by then.
