What I will describe now is just one tool of a much bigger routine that I use. I explain what I use from time to time on the forum and in my Dream Journal but if anyone is interested in the full routine I might write a guide, but that could be a waste of time because it doen't mean that it will work for everyone.

Anyway I always do a WILD attempt on bedtime, not because I expect it to give me lucid dreams but because I get really freaky pulsating sensations in my whole body which is fun to observe and even if I fall asleep this procedure tend to give me more awareness in my dreams than if I don't do it, which can help me DILD.

What I do is simple. I just lay on my back and try to fall asleep. Since it's harder to fall asleep on my back I wont fall asleep that easily.
So what I also do is that I look for a strange sensation or a vibration in my right foot, because that's usually where it starts.
Then when I feel that vibration or pulsating feeling, I do a movement free reality check or a non-physical test.
You can imagine what you want, but I imagine holding a Playstation 3 control in my hands, if I can really feel it I am dreaming.
Then I imagine myself doing a sideflip because I know how that feels in real life, then I imagine pinching myself.
I cycle through these non-physical tests 4 times so 12 tests in total. Then I start from the beggining again by trying to fall asleep.

By doing this I can induce crazy sensations in just a few seconds, I don't know how... it just happens.

The reason to why I started to do this weird routine was that I thougt it was a good way of remembering what to do on a DEILD attempt during the night on one of my awakenings. However instead I experienced these crazy sensations.

I described in detail to make it easier for you to understand what I do, but it's basically just two steps:

      1. Try to fall asleep
      2. Non-physical tests

I don't know what's happening to me when I do this my body parts shake like I was pumped with all my blood to one single area. However I am always excited when I go to bed now
This is basically a DEILD method because if you do this upon an awakening during the night you are WILDing and occasionally testing to see if you are dreaming.

You can read more about what sensations I feel in my Dream Journal =)

      Good luck!

This is a realy good free ebook with lots of good information and my favourite technique, also the first chapter is all you have to read to get the technique.
Free ebooks on Out-of-Body Experience (OBE) and Lucid Dreaming
the main technique is kinda DEILD.

The most helpful thing anyone will tell you ever:

Don't even think about trying to WILD unless you're already very groggy and on the verge of falling asleep (AND it's morning).
