If by SP you mean full body paralysis, when you can't move no matter what, then you are not doing anything wrong. Simple because you don't need SP to lucid dream, not even to WILD. I have had around 30 WILDs and 30 DEILDs and not one time have I felt immobilized. Some heaviness, yes. But if I wanted to, I could move at any time, and in fact I have.
But if you mean vibrations, feeling of heaviness, hallucinations and all kinds of sensations, (which are not SP), then these matter only if you trying to WILD. I'm gonna assume you asking about WILD. You can have any of these things when trying to WILD. But you also may not have any of them. And still get a WILD.
So, if you reply that this question is indeed about WILD, I'll move it to WILD forum and we'll go from there.
