If you just had your first LD through WBTB the other night, there's a rare chance that it will happen again the very next night. If you were thinking about it too much, that can hinder your results.
The reason you may have been tired after waking up is probably because you woke up directly after a REM period. Studies have shown that waking up after a REM cycle the brain will be the most alert (some people use this to wake up in the morning feeling alert instead of the usual groggy).
Just keep at it, try some relaxation techniques if your not tired enough

eventually through practice you will get it down!
