We go through sleep cycles. Each is about 90 min long and starts with NREM and ends with REM. First, as you go to sleep, NREM is about 80 min and REM about 10 min. But as you sleep, NREM gets shorter and REM longer, and by the morning, after 7-8 hrs of sleep, your REM is about 80 min long. Hope this helps. |
