      weird problems with SSILD

      Ok, this has happened to me four times now, three times while napping, once while DEILD.

      I start off by performing SSILD, then I get hazy and tingly. This is normal, right? Well, apparently you're supposed to keep doing this till you fall asleep, but the thing is, I don't. Instead, my head starts to feel like it's leaping, and my ears ring obnoxiously. Usually after that, it feels like I'm looking into a strobelight. After a short time, I feel like I'm whirling, usually towards the right. Then I get these crazy images that make NO SENSE. The third time I managed to get a WILD. I know this is gonna sound pathetic, but I was just staring at a cup of yogurt. It felt like real life, but then I felt myself floating away from it and back into reality. But wait! It gets better: I'm just about to pull myself back into the dream, when my dad calls me.

      What I'm wondering is-- how long should I let this jerking/spinning take place? Cause if I let it go too long, everything stops, and I'm back to reality. But somehow, I managed to let it spin me into the yogurt dream haha. But it vanished too quickly for me to even do an RC. Someone told me to roll over when I start "spinning", but I'm afraid that if I do that, I'll just wake up. I was also told to do a RC as it was happening. But do I RC mentally or physically?

      Here's some extra info:
      -I've never had a LD, except sometimes when I use it to wake up from nightmares
      -I tried doing this again today, but nothing happened except for a numb feeling
      -I have extremely vivid dreams, one of which I was actually talking to someone about lucidity but never actually became lucid

      HALP!!!
      Twas brilligh, and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe.
      All mimzy were the borogroves and the momeraths outgrabe.

      SSILD is a variation of WILD. It would really help if you knew the WILD process, what can happen, when and why and what to do about it.

      If you affraid to roll out, you will never know if it would work, or not. A few time it may mess up your attempt and you'll end up standing by your bed, but a few time you will roll out into a lucid dream. That will teach you how that feels and next time you will roll out into LDs.

      WILD (sageous)
      Sensations and types of entry into WILD

      No. Heck no.

      You do the SSILD, after doing it, you roll back, fall asleep, and then you're getting lucid in a dream. It's not WILD.

      @OP
      You don't need to do it until you fall asleep. Just do it 4-5 times, and then roll back, and go to sleep.

      I'm starting to get lucid now, like I know I'm dreaming, but I still can't fully control myself. I managed to get myself to do a RC, but I couldn't get the dream to last more than two minutes D: I previously created a scene I could go to when I'm lucid, and that seemed to work, but it wasn't completely tangible. It still felt hazy and dreamy... I had a partially lucid dream a while ago, where I was at a stormy industrial park. I suddenly knew I was dreaming, and I started building a jeep without touching anything. Why in the WORLD would I wanna build a jeep? I could have done cooler things, but I guess my dream self had other ideas...
