Loosing control of my arms while initiating WILD

This is a fairly common occurrence when I'm trying to initiate a lucid dream through WILD technique. I'll be laying there and I can feel my body drifting away while my mind if fully aware of what is going on. I'll be drifting in and out with different visions when my arms will either go into the air and flail about or the will come together as if I were trying to grasp onto something in front of my chest.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this or know why this might happen?

It happened two times in one night last night. The first time it happened was a bit different, because it started with my shoulders. My shoulders lunged forward lifting me off of the bed. It didn't' feel like i was using my stomach muscles it was all in my shoulders...

The second time it happened it was in my hands again. But this time I can't confirm that I was actually awake. The second time it happened it was like a jerk that pulled me out of bed and right into a dream. Then I realized i was in a dream so I tried to change the scene. The weird thing was I didn't have full control of the dream... I was able to change the scene to what I was thinking about, but not 100% ...

I'm sorry I'm still really tired I'm not thinking straight right now.

Those could be your dream arms. Try to stand up or roll out of your body. If successfull, you will exit into LD.

Here are some other sensations and types of entry into WILD. Maybe you recognize something here or it gives you an idea.

Once when I was in a trance for relaxation, it felt like my whole upper body rotates and moves like I have no spine, lol.

I actually find it very interesting when it happens. Though I also enjoy sleep walking (when I remember it)

      Thank you for that!

I have had some of those sensations before. I have tried to roll my dream body out, but have never been able to do it successfully... then again I might be doing it completely wrong.

There was one time I was successful, but did not know how I did it. I left my bedroom through my window (3rd floor) which now that I think back to it could have been a bit dangerous is I only thought I was dreaming.

But the hallucinations are usually quite fun. I'm not a drug user so dreaming is my drug of choice.

All you do is you get up from bed and walk away. If you in a dream, you will recognize it right away and you keep getting up. If you did it too early, you will feel your real body move. Then you stop and wait a little longer.

The more you read about this and think about it, more likely it is, that it will happen to you.

Often I'm already in a dream but I would swear I'm still awake. Just do a leap of faith and stand up next to your bed. It will work
