      Soooooo Close!!!

I had a really amazing experience this morning. I've started attempting WILD again this Week after a bit of a break from trying. I've been attempting on and off for about 5-6 years now but have always been disheartened after 4 or 5 attempts because I never seem to get much further than feeling relaxed and then getting bored.

This morning I had a bit of a lie in before work but my partner was getting up for work early and moving around. This meant I was in and out of sleep for about an hour. When I woke up after a dream I thought I might try DEILD but I had already rolled over so I wasn't sure it would work, but I still felt really tired so I thought I might as well try. I started to think about my previous dream and almost immediately started to hear a really loud humming and crackling. I could actually feel the sound in my ears and it was really strange. I suddenly though OMG this is it, its what everyone talks about when they describe WILD! I started getting very excited but managed to calm down and ride through the sensation. I felt a strange popping feeling all around me that I cant really describe and everything stopped and I was just in my bed.

I was so excited that I had gotten so close to WILDing and wrote everything down in my Dream Journal and went back to sleep. But when I woke up again there was nothing in my journal. It was a FA! It had felt so real and I had even RCd by looking at my hands and they looked normal. I honestly can't believe how vivid and real it was. I can still remember what I wrote in my diary and I was even able to read the words - something I can never usually do in an ND. Ive heard that WILD can be more realistic but I never expected anything like that!!!

I feel like now I have gone through the HI and vibrations I know I can do it again. I am kind of furious with myself that I didn't realize I was dreaming. That was the bit I didn't count on having to worry about with WILD. I think I've been so used to it not working that I assumed the same thing had happened.

I am so excited that I would have had an amazing LD if I'd done a better reality check (nose plug next time ) I know that I can do it now and it's only a matter of time before I master WILD.

      I'm feeling super confident guys!

Fantastic. I really enjoy how when A WILD begins to happen, even if you don't get all the way in, there is no question in your mind what it is. Now that you know the sensations you personally experience, you'll know what to look for.

What I am convinced of though, as I have FA's frequently too, is that we might be having those False awakenings more than we realize. Meaning we WILD successfully, but just as we enter the dream, we lose our awareness.

With enough practice, time and tweaking, I think you'll be well on your way.

If you have time to get bored, that usually means, that you were not sleepy enough in the first place.

Next time, when stuff stops, you are already in a dream. Think about this often. Have a mantra to remind yourself "when it stops, I get up". Then literaly get up from your bed, or roll out and walk away. The moment you do that, you will realize you are dreaming.

Transition can be very smooth. Many times I'm already in a dream, still convinced that I'm just WILDing. Think about it often. It will work for you. Do RC each time you get up from bed. It will help you catch those FAs.

Both of those RCs are excellent. But no RC will work, if you don't believe it will work when you practice them during day.

      Happy dreams
