WILDing Outside while looking at the sky

It is possible to have a WILD while your eyes are open. I find that you have more self-awareness when you do so and it is easier to fall into a trance or hypnagogic state. I was lying on the ground yesterday looking up at the sky. I was thinking about getting a pillow and trying WILD but I didn't. I was just wondering if anyone on these forums have attempted WILD while looking up at the sky (or just outside in general). This excludes tents and stuff like that. I think that I am going to try WILDing on the grass with a pillow tomorrow and see how it goes.

Well, you can keep eyes open for a while, but eventually you will have to close them(Maybe you would not notice that) because you can't have dreams unless you fall asleep, and falling asleep is part of WILDing, just during the WILD we keep awareness while falling asleep.
I heard some people can sleep with eyes open, but i think that's a bit extreme.
As for being outside... it could work as long as you can fall asleep anyways and it could also help to keep awareness actually.
      Good luck anyways!

If you can sleep with your eyes open then go ahead and try, but WILD and trance are two separate things. You can induce a trance while wide awake but you can only WILD while going to sleep.
