This always happens when I try to WILD. Any help?

So I got up, used the bathroom, yadda yadda. But then I tried to WILD. I sat there for 50 mins. I was fully under SP. I had almost reach a dream multiple times. There was never any 'snapping out of it' or any other reason to not having fallen asleep. I was perfectly still, swallowing wasn't a problem. So then why didn't it work. I had everything. The auditory hallucinations even began at some points. Thanks for any help and feel free to ask for more details!

It sounds to me that you tried to control the process too much.

In my experience the dreaming process is something you can't really fully control.

And to try to control it would be equivalent to trying to see the the bottom of a sea by trying to stir the water.

So how do you create control of the process without trying to control the process itself?

Well this is just what I do, so far there is no step by step guide everyone can follow in order to get a lucid dream. I would like to contrast it to something completely different just to try to make my point clear. Lucid dreaming and success with women.

You can't walk up to a total stranger girl and try to control what she will think of you, just like you can't pick a night and decide that you are going to get a lucid dream.

What you can do however is to increase your chances of her liking you, or increase your chances of being more aware as you sleep.

Live a life that you know increases your chances and find joy in those actions and don't care about the result, since you are doing the RIGHT actions sooner or later you will succeed, so just enjoy the journey.

Getting a girl: Workout to practise your willpower and get more attractive, talk to girls every day don't limit it to the weekend because then you will have high expectations those days and if you faill you will get really frustrated, meditate to get calm and clean bull sh*t thoughts out of your mind.
Talk with the girls primarily for your own fun, and be processoriented (enjoy the actions) instead of result oriented (outcome dependent).

Getting a lucid dream: Recall your dreams to practise your memory and become more aware of your dreams, practise lucid dreaming every night don't limit it to the weekend because then you will have high expectations those days and if you fail you will get really frustrated, meditate to get calm and clean bull sh*t thoughts out of your mind. Practise lucid dreaming primarily for your own fun, and be processoriented (enjoy the actions) instead of result oriented (outcome dependent).

And experiment and be self-reflecting to what kind of actions that benefit you, and just find joy in doing those right actions and sooner or later the result will come.

This is the general mindset you need to have. And this mindset is what I have found is most effective for DILDs because I can just do right actions such as: Recall my dreams, Meditate and sort my mind out, and go to bed early and then I get spontanious lucid dreams here and there.

However when it comes to WILDing it is a little more advanced because then you need to practise the mindset described above in HARD mode. Find joy in doing NOTHING (Because the mind needs to be in a state of nothing in order to be filled with subconscious or dream material), and therefore you have to let go of the control completely and fully trust the journey etc.

Which is why meditation is a good way to prepare for a night of WILD.

I go into more detail here: http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...y-cant-i.html#

I hope this made sense and good luck!
