I always just fall asleep when doing a WILD.

Recently i've been waking up in the early hours of the morning (4/5) and attempting a WILD. i've tried doing a FILD aswell but on both i find myself just to fall asleep.. is there any to stop this? any tips or advice would be appreciated so desperate to have a LD.

      Cheers

I've never achieved FILD but, once you wake up around 4 or 5, (thats when i do too) lay down and just wait until you feel like you're falling asleep, you should know, if your breathing changes or something else. But when you do, that's when you should start whatever you're going to do.

For a WILD, it's not enough to just lay back and wait to fall asleep.

      1. You need a WBTB to wake up a little bit, so yu don't fall asleep right away.
      2. When WILDing, you need something to keep your mind busy and awake, while your body falls asleep and a dream is ready for you. Most people use mantras or counting.
      3. When dream is ready and you still awake, now is the time to fall asleep lucidly.
