      Almost...

So about a night ago, I was able to lucid dream using WILD (though I had no idea at the time what WILD was until an awesome member commented on my Lucid dream experience in another thread yesterday).
I tried to do it again last night (lucid dreaming 2 nights in a row? Why not!lol!). I didn't really get to lucid dream again sadly T.T, in fact, I dont think I dreamt at all. O.O It could be because I was sleep deprived. I have crazy sleeping cycle these days.
I got as far as transition, when I began feeling the strong tingling sensation all over my body.
Unfortunately, I got distracted with my being too excited, body awareness, such as my sudden grumbling of my stomach(yep, bad timing hunger) and my breathing. >.>
      TOO MUCH DISTRACTIONS!!
I sat up annoyed and loudly said "Oh man. So close." Then I went to eat cereal to silence my distracting/demanding stomach at 4am lol.
Went back to bed, then lo and behold, I woke up to my boyfriend knocking on my door. No dreams. I didnt even notice I fell asleep. BLAH.

EDIT: Also my eyes move TOO MUCH during transition! Turning off the lights work, but its freaky to feel my eyes move so fast.

Any tips? Im going to try again tonight.

The ideal is trying to do a RC every time you get out of bed, to prevent what happened to you and false awakenings. But this was really close and WILD isn't a easy technique because it can be really hard to fall sleep and you did it, so congrats and good luck getting lucid

Sorry to ask, but what is RC?

Thank you! I thought having done WILD before unintentionally would make it easy for me to do it again. Oh how wrong I was. Im running into walls I didn't expect I would! lol! I actually just got up about ten minutes ago from another failed attempt. What went wrong this time?

I felt tears running down on the side of my face. (I was sleeping on my side xD)

My eyes were moving fast so I knew that was a sign that I'm close, again, BUT the tears were enough to distract me. Maybe my eyes were open and it dried out or something? My room was dark so I couldn't tell. Though I was so sure that I was focusing on the dancing "lights" behind my eyelids that appeared before the waterworks. Hm.
This sucks. I'll go back to sleep, its still too early for me to be up right now and I will try again.

Just found out that RC meant doing reality checks! Did some light reading on my ipad. But Im completely AWAKE now because IM freaking out!

I did say I got up last night to eat cereal right?

Turns out, there's no cereal or milk in my fridge! I asked my mom where it went, she said she hadn't gone shopping YET and we ran out about a week ago!!!

      EKITHRIUTYGDEIYGDFKSGHSDFG

DOES THAT MEAN THAT I ATE CEREAL IN MY DREAMS THEN WENT BACK TO BED IN MY DREAMS?! I really thought I messed up the transition phase and was AWAKE! The clarity was CRAZY!!! I SWEAR I EVEN TASTED THE COCO CRUNCH!!

I'm going to sulk in the corner now. That was really, really, really, stupid of me! D:

Hey, don't feel bad; everyone can get fooled by a false awakening. You need to do a reality check straight after WILD if you're still in "your room". FAs can happen a lot with WILDs (could depend on the person 'cause everyone's different) so you need to learn how to catch these.

Thanks so much for the tips! I remembered to RC last night (even did it in two different methods) because of you guys' reply
Its just that I'm still new to all of this and I didn't know what RC meant few weeks back xD
I still need lots of practice to maintain longer lucidity and prevent premature awakenings.

So glad that I found this forum! Couldn't really share this experience with family/friends. First time I tried, they all had the same expression; like I had lost my marbles and talking bat-crazy >.>
