      Hallucinating or WILD?

I attempted a WILD today and reached the point of having hallucinations of flashing lights. But when I got up and flipped on a light, it blinked twice and that has never happened before. I did a mirror and clock reality check. My IPhone looked like it said 2:40 and 2:41 at the same time. The mirror reality check showed a normal reflection. I tried holding my breath and was unsure. I don't know if I was experiencing hallucinations after waking up or if I actually experienced a Lucid Dream for a split second. But if that's the case, wouldn't I have woken up normally correct? Or could lucid dreaming and sleepwalking be related? I'm just confused as to what happened. This isn't usual. I am on medications but I don't think hallucinations are a side effect of any that I take. What happened? Even a wall reality check failed.

I was completely aware of removing my headphones and everything and I did get back on the couch. Unsure if the hallucinations actually happened when I was awake.

      Hi,

It might've been a False Awakening maybe ?
Sometimes transitions during WILDs tend to be so smooth that we won't even notice that we are already in a dream
You might lie still in dream bed thinking that your still attempting to WILD or get up thinking that you failed
And if your logic is not gone yet you might do pair of reality checks after waking up
So that might've been a FA.

Anyways, if your worried that medications you take might induce hallucinations you should ask your doctor about that or just browse the internet.
      I'm back! Again? Uhhh..

I agree with MisakaMikoto, sometimes FAs are realistic enough that they pass your reality checks as well.
