      WBTB or WILD?

      Hello DreamViewers!

      Recently I've been having a lot of success with LD in situations like this:

      I wake up in the middle of the night, take a zip of water or write in my DJ and go back to "sleep" but this time I enter the dream consciously and have a LD from start to finish.

      Would this be a WILD or a WBTB?

      Just labels I know... but I am curious

      You performed a WILD by the sounds of it, when you consciously entered the dream. You also did a very short WBTB when you drank some water and wrote in your DJ.

      Yup, Mango, you said it!

      WBTB is just something we do to help us WILD. We get up from bed for a while to wake up our mind just enough so it's still sleepy to fall asleep fast, but awake enough to stay up till a dream forms after our body and rest of the mind falls asleep.

      WILD is the actual LDing technique. When we lay down and fall asleep while keeping our awareness.

      Yes, WILD is any method (as well as the particular "regular WILD") in which you fall asleep maintaining awareness.

      WBTB is just an awakening during sleep during which you sit up / stand up for a while.
