So has anyone tried WILDing while being put to sleep for some operation? I just gonna be getting my wisedom teeth out tomorrow and firgure I might try it. I never been much into WILDing as it takes me a while to get to sleep. And WILD is just saying "I am dreaming" or somthing like that over and over again til you fall asleep? Sry if theres a thread about this somewhere... and I probaly spelled surgury wrong. BANANA |

if you can read this then you are about to be punched
I'd think that whatever they use for surgery suppresses REM sleep, which would make recall very elusive. I suppose its possible though. Better wait for the real experts to get here. Either way, its worth a try, right? |

Yea, wisedom teeth they do, they have to like cut into the gum and dig em out, I heard some people just get numbed but my sister did it and got an IV and was put to sleep. Maybe it depends on the doctor...? |

You generally don't have any concsiouness under general anesthesia. |
|
I agree. The stuff that they give you knocks your mind out too. It's like flipping a switch, one minute you're awake, the next your not. Because its an almost instant loss of conscioussness, I don't even think a dream will form unless you are under for a very long time. |

Well, when I was under general anesthesia I've seen some visions but they were short, and next thing I remember - someone tries to wake me up. |

Yea, I kind of tried, nothing :-( |

Whenever I got put under sleeping gas, I hallucinated a lot, and felt like I was in an alternate dimension of some sort. |

Last year I had an operation and I fell asleep so fast that I didnt even notice I got tired. |
|
Once I was put to sleep for a root canal, I had a semi lucid dream, mostly because of the fact I am afraid of needles and my mind resisted sleep |
|
I remember when i had my second heart surgery when i was 6 or so, i had a really real dream, probably my most vivid and realistic to date. |
|
I had my wisdom's teeth removed today. I only got something to block the pain, general anaesthesia sounds over the top to me for a 10-20 minute simple surgery... Or was there more to it for you? |
