It depends on how tired you are. I usually get into SP in about 20 minutes if I'm not so tired, and in 10 if I'm more tired. When I'm sleep deprived I can get in SP in less than 5 minutes. |

The key in reaching SP is not waiting for it. You want to forget that you are even trying to achieve it, or else it may not even come. Alot of people talk about laying there and waiting for the time to pass counting breathes and waiting for those "signals" like itching that your body tests you with. While all this is true, the more you think about it, the more unlikely it is to happen. So try not to focus on it and just let yourself play through a dream scheme in your head. I create these little scenes in my head that keep me distracted till my body falls asleep and then sometimes those very schemes im playing through become a real LD |

Dreams are today's answers to tomorrow's questions. ~ Edgar Cayce
In a normal WILD, it takes me about 20 minutes to reach some sort of HH. Sometimes it can take as long as an hour, or as little as 5 minutes. I think it has more to do with the timing of my WBTB than with my mindstate. I like to think of it as just lying in a super relaxed meditative state, waiting for my next dream to hit me. |
