      Unhappy Beginner, scary experience

I tried to WILD last night and I think it started to work, but it became absolutely unbearable and then an outside noise snapped me out of it. I'm not sure if I could have stayed with it until the end if that had not happened, or not.

I started to hear the buzzing in my ears, and it was getting louder and louder. I expected that and kept reminding myself to relax, but my heart started pounding and my breathing became very heavy..I literally felt like my chest was going to explode. I kept talking to myself in my head and reminding myself to relax and not to panic, but it was very overwhelming.

Am I just not cut out for this? I'm almost afraid to try again...

You are cut out for this.

Just learn to stay calm, and don't move when all that happens. You got a hell of a lot closer to WILDing that a lot of people do. So I say, well done, and keep at it.

Of course you can do it.

I had some scary HH too. But i decided to face them again and again. Now i don't get scared so easily because i've been facing my fears for a while and i know the HH i get and how they feel and that they aren't real.

Each time you face your fears you just increase your strenght against them. Believe me, you got to try again and again until you are so used to them that you fear them no more.

Hope you don't give up and Good Luck!

The above posters are correct Bossbadger. What you experienced is commonplace when attempting WILD's. Relax, and remind yourself that your experiences are subject to the dreamer. That being you. Persist in your efforts and the transition process will become quite fun for you, as it is for me now.

I experience the same thing, and I've had problems with panic attacks during the buzzing phase, which is horrible. But I must say, it has gotten ten times easier the longer I keep doing it. Keep at it!

I once laid down to rest and started going into SP, I started seeing scary images and hearing noises so it creeped me out and I terminated it. However I'll try again soon
